Before the first shot

Place your fleet in secret
Arrange each ship on your own grid before the battle starts. Your opponent cannot see those positions.
Fire at one coordinate each turn
A shot is marked as a hit or miss. Use those results to work out the direction and length of an opponent's ship.
Sink the entire opposing fleet
A ship sinks when all of its occupied squares have been hit. Sink every enemy ship before your own fleet is destroyed to win.

Can I play Battleship online with one friend?
Yes. Create a private two-player game and send your friend the invite link. You can play from separate devices and browsers.
Can I practise Battleship against AI?
Yes. Solo mode gives you a computer-controlled opponent and lets you practise both fleet placement and targeting.
Can my opponent see where I placed my ships?
No. Your fleet grid is private. The opponent only learns about your fleet through the hit and miss results of their shots.
How do I win Battleship?
Hit every occupied square in the opponent's fleet before they sink all of your ships.
